Therapists at Stone Path Wellness are in network with Carefirst BCBS, Cigna and Aetna* (for DC and Maryland residents only).

All copays, coinsurance and payments for self-pay patients are expected at the time of service. We accept credit and debit cards and HSA/FSA. Your card will be saved securely using a HIPAA-complaint service.

Out of Network Insurance

Our self-pay (or Out-of-Network) fees are $180 for a 50 minute session with an LICSW and $150 for a 50 minute session with an LGSW. The initial Evaluation and Diagnostic Assessment starts at $250.

We can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you would like to seek reimbursement for an Out-of-Network insurance. Keep in mind that submitting a superbill for reimbursement may grant the insurance company the right to access your records and limit the number of sessions you attend. How much insurance providers cover varies widely. It may be helpful to call your insurance to ask:

  1. “Do I have Out of Network coverage for psychotherapy?”
  2. “How much would you cover for psychotherapy CPT code 90837?”
  3. “Do I have to meet a deductible before you start covering for Out of Network?”
No Show / Late Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please let us know 48 hours before your appointment time. We have found that this is the amount of notice that is needed to refill the time slot we reserved for you. In case of a missed appointment or late cancellation within 24 hours of the appointment, the full appointment fee will be charged. We will ask for a credit card in order to reserve your first appointment. Your card will not be charged until the time of your appointment.

If you are using insurance, you will be responsible for the full appointment fee if you no show or late cancel, and not just your copay amount, as insurance will not cover a no show or late cancellation fee.
